Timothy Oh who has over 25 years of experience is the founder of TESO Architects, Inc. based in Southern California. Timothy has designed various project types leading design teams including educational, institutional, residential, mixed-use/commercial, and masterplan. He has designed numerous educational projects locally in Greater Los Angeles, residential projects in northern California, and mixed-use/commercial projects internationally including a 10 million square feet masterplan in Shanghai, China.
He has traveled over two dozen destinations throughout Europe and North Africa whilst working in London that has impressed him on how a neighborhood or city should be planned and functioned in architecture + design as well as in urban design planning. He has also traveled extensively throughout Asia and recognized how each culture has a strong influence on space, form, scale, proportion, light, and color in architecture that is represented in his body of design work.
Previously, he has worked in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and London. With experiences at one of the world’s pre-eminent architecture firms such as Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, it has had a profound impact on how Timothy approaches design ideas in collaboration with clients, engineering consultants, project stakeholders, and city officials. Timothy has particular experience in educational/institutional and residential who is a licensed architect in the State of California.
In the Higher Education academic realm, Timothy participates as a design studio reviewer on a regular basis with the Cal Baptist University College of Architecture Program and has volunteered his time as a design studio reviewer with the University of Southern California School of Architecture Program in the past.
Irina Wedel is a project manager with over 30 years of experience for educational and residential projects. She brings wealth of knowledge in project management from Schematic Design Phase to Construction Document Phase. Irina successfully collaborates with various engineers, city officials, and community in achieving project goals set out by clients. She has experience with multiple cities for residential & commercial projects and Division of State Architects for K-12 projects in the past. Currently, she is working on higher education project locally. She is also an excellent project designer who could tremendously impact buildings holistically and positively where others sometimes do not see right away and miss the design solution immediately during the design process. Her design skill enables project stakeholders to see the benefits of her design in problem solving to fulfill the client’s needs. Irina has master’s degree in architecture and professionally associated with AIA as Assoc. AIA.
Hannah Lee is a project designer who usually covers Northern California market. She is an experience designer who collaborates with individual clients for custom single-family residential projects. She is also capable of doing interior design with furnishings in mind. Hannah has a great design sense about material selections for each space when combining beautiful light fixtures with wall tiles and wood flooring as an example. She has successfully designed her own house that is more than 6,000sf in Los Altos, California. She has worked well with her general contractor for her own house from the beginning construction phase to certificate of occupancy, the end of the successful project.
Jose Arce is an intern who is currently attending Cal Poly University Pomona School of Architecture. He has experience in residential and commercial projects in the past for internship. Jose’s father is a contractor so he has a keen understanding of construction and real estate in general. He brings tremendous value to our practice & passion for great architecture and we are glad to have him collaborating with us.
